Bus timing

The issue of timing arises in this section: how to define the boundaries of a bus transaction. The bus clock is introduced. We talk about two major ways to control a bus: synchronous and asynchronous. We also discuss the need for interface chips which contain registers to store values that are put onto or taken off bus wires.
